Emergency Heating: What to Do If Your System Fails
A furnace failure in the middle of a Minnesota cold snap is no joke. But before you panic, here’s what you should do:
Check your thermostat. Make sure it has power and is set to “heat.”
Inspect your breaker box. A tripped breaker can stop your system cold.
Ensure the filter isn’t clogged. A dirty filter can cause shutdowns.
